Job Description

The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance, and operational support of databases. Maintain the reliability, stability, and data integrity of the databases. Provide support in the administration, backup, integrity, and security of various SQL databases. Ability to create DB implementation project plans, identify the critical path, resolve issues, and have strong SQL query skills. The candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of DBMS and related technologies, such as MS SQL Server and SQL Server
• SQL Server installation, upgrades, migrations, and configuration, including database software service packs and cumulative updates
• Experience with database design and development, security, backup, and recovery
• Experience with database-related infrastructure: storage, network, security, and server performance. Ability to use tools and custom queries to identify infrastructure issues
• Extensive experience in designing and configuring HA and DR solutions for SQL DBA
• Experience working with Windows servers, including Active Directory and disk configurations
• Experience in PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch administration
• Good to have experience in managing instances in Azure
• Proactively monitor and respond to SQL database alerts and communicate with internal teams and customers as needed
• Experience in automating database maintenance tasks
